Spoiled or not spoiled? Our dear visitors (Kaitlyn’s paternal grandparents and aunt) took turns holding her the following morning after they arrived. Here are some pictures I took within the course of about 2 hours:
So I don’t really think she’s that spoiled – at least not yet!! She’s just really lucky to be loved by so many people. =)
Before Ether & I started dating, I watched him as he was holding a little baby and my heart just melted. From that moment, I already knew that he would be a great father; and he really is. I love watching him with Kaitlyn; my heart still melts. She really loves her daddy. Here are some more cute pix I took of them spending quality time together:
Here is a picture of Kaitlyn’s little feet wearing the cute booties that I gave to my nephew Talon, but my sister decided to give them back to me:
Here she is laying down in a funny position suddenly:
This is Kaitlyn (wearing the beautiful dress her Mah-Mah made her) with her great-grandma on the day of her blessing (Sunday, March 11):
This is me & Kaitlyn yesterday while trying to get her to sleep:
This is Kaitlyn with the neck pillow I bought from the 99 cent store (hehehe funny funny):
Mah-Mah & Yeh-Yeh have been so great to us. They have been taking care of Kaitlyn on most of the nights they’ve been here so that we could sleep. They have also been cooking for us, cleaning dishes, and helping us buy things that we need. We greatly appreciate their help and will miss them when they leave. =(
On a brighter note, Kaitlyn has been doing pretty well lately. She is sleeping a lot better and we are enjoying her cuteness everyday. Her cheeks are continuing to get bigger.
Tonight Ether’s parents & sister are coming to visit for 2 weeks. I’m excited. Kaitlyn will finally get to meet her “yeh-yeh”, “ma-ma” and “goo jeh”. Plus they’re going to help us move and take care of Kaitlyn here and there. =) I haven’t seen them since…. our wedding? Almost a year ago. Wow time flies by fast. Well, they are great in-laws and I enjoy their company. Honest!
Anyway, here are some new pix of Kaitlyn:
This is her in the car seat. We thought that if we swung her for a bit she’d fall asleep and stop fussing. Unfortunately it only lasted for like 2 minutes. You can tell by the expression on her face in the 3rd pic that she isn’t falling for it:
Look at her HUGE eyes! The first pic I was giving her a “raspberry” (is it spelled like this?) on her belly and the second pic we were about to change her diaper:
I found her like this one day while she was sleeping:

I was bored, so I decided to sit there for 10 minutes, watching her sleep in the rocker, and tried to take pictures of her smiling in her sleep. However I only got one of her smiling and the rest of the time she kept on frowning (hehe we love it when she frowns! it’s too cute!):

Look at how she sleeps. Kinda reminds me of Snow (our dog) in his bed, when he sleeps with his head back. So flexible!
Happy New Year everyone! I can’t believe how fast time has gone. Feels like just yesterday I found out I was pregnant and I had to tell my parents & friends. Now I’ve got 6 weeks left in the pregnancy. It’s so soon that I’m almost freaking out. We have lots to do. Buy a crib, stroller, car seat, diapers and pack my hospital bag.. Who knows when she’s going to come. She might be early, she might be late. I just hope she’s healthy and that she doesn’t get caught in the umbilical cord. That’s what scares me the most. But I know God will bless us. I’m going to get a growth scan this Friday. I think it’s a special sonogram to determine whether she’s growing or not. I was told to do this because I was freaking out that my belly is still so small and I just need some reassurance that she is fine.
Well here are my New Year’s Resolutions:
1) Be a good mommy and wife.
2) Lose the extra weight and fat from the pregnancy. I hope I’ll be able to fit into my old clothes again!
Anyway, the past week was great. It was so relaxing not having to wake up early and go to work, although I still woke up early. I guess I just can’t sleep over 8 hours a day for some reason. I’m going to have to go back to work tomorrow. *sigh* I hope I won’t have too much trouble waking up. Well at least I’ve got 3 more weeks of it. After that, I’m just going to sleep and sleep and sleep (And watch soap operas in between.. hahaha) until the baby comes cuz I know I’m not going to get much after she comes. Last week I got to see my sister, her husband, and Talon, my 4 month old nephew. He is such a cutie pie. I love him to death. He is such a happy baby, except for when he’s hungry or tired. But what baby isn’t? =)
Just a quick lil update.. well sorta… =D
We spent Thanksgiving at Aunt Sabella’s apartment. I cannot remember what we did all day prior to dinner. I’ve got the pregnant memory loss syndrome. =/ I remember that it was raining all day. It was so yucky out. Anyway, dinner was good, especially the green bean casserole! We didn’t have the typical dinner with mashed potatoes and mashed sweet potatoes with marshmallows on top. We had roast duck and chicken! So Chinese. Then they decided to torture me by taking out 3 JUNIOR’S cheesecakes AND a BJ’s sheet cake. I had two bites of cheesecake and a bite of the sheet cake. It was sooooooo good. Can’t wait to be able to eat ice cream and cake again without worrying and feeling guilty. =D
Then on Black Friday, Ether went out to Circuit City at 4 am and didn’t come back until close to 9 am. The lines were horrendous, but more so in Utah I heard. My sister was at Circuit City for 8 hours. 5 of those hours were spent just waiting on line to pay for her stuff. Poor woman. Anyway, we got a new camera. It’s smaller than my old one and cooler. The battery life is definitely better. We’ll take some new pictures and post them up soon. =)
The baby is doing well. She loves to move around at night time. Sometimes she stretches so much it feels like she’s going to poke out of my belly. It doesn’t hurt, but it feels uncomfortable! I know it’s going to get worse as she gets bigger and there’s less room to move. I can’t wait til she comes out, although I can’t say that I am really ready for that yet! She definitely has a big wardrobe right now, not only from my collection over the years. My mother in law has already bought tons of clothes for her and is knitting a bunch of stuff. My grandaunt knitted a hat and poncho for her too. Then Abbey just gave me some more clothes yesterday. How lucky. She’s very loved already. =)
