2007 has been a challenging yet exciting, rewarding & memorable year for us.

Kaitlyn | 天慧With the birth of Kaitlyn on February 3rd, weighing 6 lbs. 5 oz. & measuring 19 inches, our lives will never be the same. Her sensitive digestive system made her quite gassy, colicky & constipated during the first 4 months of her life. The discomfort made her cry a lot and she rarely smiled. Fortunately, she grew out of it soon after we introduced her to baby food. At 10 1/2 months old, she weighs about 21 lbs. and can take 10 to 15 steps at a time already. She loves chewing on tags & straps, watching Family Feud, playing with remotes, and smiling at everyone.

Almost immediately after Melanie gave birth to Kaitlyn, she came down with a mysterious and awful rash that made sleeping an even rarer thing for her. It was such a relief for everyone (but especially for her) after it went away in a few weeks. She has since been home taking care of the little princess overtime, while working at the doctor’s office on Saturdays. She also teaches little kids at church on Sundays. She enjoys mastering her Sudoku puzzle-solving skill, surfing the Internet, and taking naps whenever she has a minute or two.

After decades of schooling, Ether has finally made it to his final semester. It now seems likely that he’ll get his degree before turning 30! He’s been taking freelance design jobs whenever it’s available and has recently started working part-time at a mental health clinic as a case manager. He tries to help out around the house and be a part of raising Kaitlyn as much as possible. He definitely would love to be a full-time dad. But for now, he’ll work on being a graphic designer, find a nice job after graduation, and may be even starting his own business, so that he can eventually get a house with more than 1 bathroom for his ladies! :-)
