Later than we thought…

So it turns out that we won’t be having the baby tomorrow. Instead, it’s going to be this Sunday (It’s a good thing I’m not a football fan, b/c this Sunday is Super Bowl Sunday!)

I guess Lisa (the doctor) didn’t realize that Mel was only like 37- or 38-week pregnant during our last visit. This time, she told us that because the baby’s lungs could still be developing, and that “the American Doctors for Pregnant Women Association (or something with a long name like that) doesn’t recommend induction or C-section under 39 weeks of pregnancy under normal circumstances.”

So that means everybody will just have to wait a little longer to hear the good news & see some pictures. It also means that we’ll have a few extra days to decide on her English & Chinese names.

Aaaaah! Why does it have to be so hard??!!

I heard some of the names already and they will be great! I can’t wait to meet/see my niece (I guess only in pictures). Take care of my sister…she’s fragile!

Here we go……………best advice, stock up plenty of diapers and wipes (winter’s here too) and start your nocturnal(sp?) sleeping schedule and learn plenty of hymns..so you can sing your baby to sleep faster too. OR (devil’s advocate) give your baby cough syrup..hehehe, but don’t do it though. and try not to spoil the baby by hold him/her when not necessary b/c you will suffer later ;) Have fun with your baby and Mel eat plenty of healthy food and drink plenty of nutritious liquids!
