The bad news is, we couldn’t hear the baby’s heartbeat.
The good news is, the baby won’t stop moving around.
Gotcha!
Scroll down to see pictures of our lil’ peanut. He (yeah, I think he’s going to be a boy) is due on February 12, 2007, which makes me a whoopin’ 12 weeks. We had our second sonogram today and he was hiccupping like crazy. He couldn’t stop moving for us to hear his heartbeat. All we could hear was him moving around. I think he’s teasing us. hehe. I’m getting nervous that he’s going to be a super-active baby. We won’t get to find out if it’s definitely a boy or girl until around September.
If anyone’s wondering, I’m doing okay so far. I’m surviving. Of course I’m not enjoying my 1st Trimester symptoms: Sore chest, nausea, loss of appetite (especially for things I used to really crave, with the exception of french fries), headaches, bloating & gas, constipation, and frequent peeing. Luckily I haven’t thrown up. So I think I’m doing pretty good.
Ether’s doing fine too, although I boss him around every now and then. But it’s justified because he’s not the one who will have to carry a watermelon for several months!
And don’t forget to post a comment please, if you’re reading this!

Where else in Brooklyn…in the state of NY…, no, actually in the whole entire world, do you get police protection at your front door @ 4 a.m. in the morning, huh? With 4 patrol cars?? See, our neighborhood does.
At least this morning we got that.
They went through our block & searched underneath parked cars & looked through garbage bins before hauling away a Chinaman. It was all done without making the least bit of noise. We wouldn’t even know about it if that humid night didn’t make me get up & turn on the AC.
A.C., the best invention EVER…fridge is good, too.

P.S. I was going to take a pic of the thug, but Mel said no. Don’t blame me.
Just kidding, hun.

Stake Youth Conference was this past Friday & Saturday. Since Mel is in the Stake Young Women presidency, we were both there all day both days. It was especially stressful for her & the Stake YW presidency this year, because just a couple of months ago the Young Men presidency was released. So pretty much everything was up to the ladies to plan & organize.
The theme (or whatever you call it) this year was “Mini MTC.” So, the youth went through the whole process of applying to go on a mission. They were all interviewed by their bishops, got their mission calls in the mail, and were assigned companions on the first day. Kids were called to Brazil, Russia, Mexico, Portugal, Spain, and with Clement & I in the stake, they were able to have kids go on Cantonese-speaking mission (Hong Kong) as well.
We had a great group of kids, 4 elders & 4 sisters. Even though they are just kids, they still tried to behave like real missionaries for the most part. I have to say, I’m also really impress with their ability in picking up the language. They only had a total of 2 hours of language instructions in 2 days, but they were able to retain much of what they were taught at the end of it. We’re talking about 20-plus vocabulary. That’s pretty impressive! It’s not something that happen often even at the real MTC!
I definitely don’t mind doing it again…well, I guess only if we’ll receive more help & support from all the wards & branches than what we had!

[Clement teaching them the Chinese/HK culture; & using chopsticks...]

[They all ended up liking the chicken feet!]

[But definitely not the "Thousand-Year-Old Eggs"! Kudos for trying though!]
